Jacob and Darby got married at Myers Wedding Barn in Sperry, Iowa, and it depicted the beauty Iowa has to offer so well. Beautiful hills, cornfields, and a big pond with a beautiful fountain and bridge. They held their ceremony overlooking the water, with the reception to follow in the barn! Lavon and I absolutely love shooting at new wedding venues we have never been to before and this was no different! We don’t know what to expect, but we’re usually in for a sweet surprise when we arrive!

These two met during college through her best friend and his best friend, Ashlyn and Jordan, who are married now too! Darby wasn’t interested at first, but overtime, they couldn’t keep away from each other! Jacob proposed last winter with the most beautiful diamond ring (see below!), and that brings us to last Saturday! The ladies got ready in the bridal suite while the guys hung out in the barn. As I watched the girls get their hair and makeup done and hang out before the first look, my heart exploded a little bit seeing how much love each of them had for Darby! There’s a reason she has so many sweet friends in her life, and seeing how excited they were for her and Jacob was special!

Jacob said he was pretty nervous, but after he saw her at their first look, it seemed all the anxiety was washed away! Believe me when I tell you they are actually perfect for each other!!! They read letters from each other at the first look which cued even more tears! This day was a perfect mixture of fun and happiness, but precious and sweet moments too, and I hope that you are able to see all of it through these photos!
