When I arrived at Sugar Grove Vineyards in Newton, IA on Saturday, I was immediately welcomed by big smiles and kind hugs by so many people. It was so obvious immediately that Eli and Summer’s family and friends are just like they are: kind and thoughtful. It was such a joyful day, and the way they centered their entire wedding day around Christ and His love was so beautiful.

Back to earlier this year when Summer first reached out to me about photographing their wedding, I literally squealed with excitement of possibly sharing a name with one of my brides!!! That’s something I NEVER thought that would happen! As she shared more about their love story, their faith, and what they envision for their wedding day through our emails, I instantly felt a connection with her…maybe it’s because we had the same name, but either way, I knew this was a day that would be amazing to be apart of. And it really was! Delicious food, beautiful weather, gorgeous views, and a sweet, sweet couple to celebrate made it so magical! Eli and Summer are two people that love the Lord fearlessly and love each other deeply…they are constantly thinking of others first, and that’s why I feel so blessed to know them now!

Summer’s mom passed away several months ago, and my heart went out to her as she celebrated such a special day of her life without her best friend. I loved finding ways to celebrate her mom through these pictures.

Sweetest group of bridesmaids ever…I could tell every single one of them was there FOR Summer, and they helped make the day that much more special.

Sugar Grove is a beautiful venue with jaw-dropping landscapes…not to mention the beautiful drive way with trees overhanging!!!!

Gahhhh….Summer, you are beautiful!!!!!

One of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen at a wedding: Instead of Summer walking the aisle by herself, Eli met her halfway and walked her up on his arm! It’s symbolic of what their relationship and growth has been together. Look at those smiles!!!

Now time for one of my favorite parts of a wedding day…

The way Eli cares for and loves Summer is tear-jerking!
