Hi there! Welcome to my blog, a place where I share my life, weddings, and my journey through building a life-giving business. Stay a while and say hello!

I AM SUMMER ALISABETH

Dusty Rose Summer Wedding in Grinnell IA | Kaleb & Courtney

Weddings

June 18, 2019

Kaleb and Courtney got married this past Saturday at Grinnell Christian Church and they were blessed with a gorgeous, sunny day, right up until a big rainstorm came through during bride and groom portraits after the ceremony! I’ve never seen it rain so hard, but this sweet couple didn’t let it ruin their day! Kaleb and Courtney focused this day around their closest family and friends, and because of that, there were so many sweet, memorable moments to capture. She did a first look with her bridesmaids and a first look with her dad, while her mom and sisters looked on! Courtney gave Kaleb a journal that she had been writing in for years, and she never told him about it the whole time they were dating to keep it a surprise for their wedding day. It was things like that, the entire day, that made it so special and so unique. These two are finally married, and now they’re in ROME on their honeymoon! Wishing them a lifetime of happiness because their day was perfect in every way!

Courtney, you are STUNNING!

Bridesmaid’s first look!! So sweet!

On her way to her first look with her dad!

His face when he finally saw her…she looked so beautiful!

We had a *little bit* of fun with the bridal party! I promise no one got hurt!

Courtney’s veil was soooooo flowy and beautiful – it made for some gorgeous portraits!

We felt it get chilly, the clouds got dark, the wind came, then it started to sprinkle…10 seconds later it was down pouring! Thank goodness Grinnell College had this outdoor/indoor white hallway with big windows – it saved us!

We worked with an amazing videography team, Ben and Lauren from Graphic Formation Films, who is a husband-wife team and they were so fun! They are insanely talented, so I’m excited to work with them again sometime!

The beautiful sunset after the storm…
