These two share a birthday 3 years apart right around Thanksgiving, which has always been their very favorite holiday. They grew up spending it with the family they loved, Kristi in St. Louis and Jeff here in Iowa with his great grandparents. Kristi never got the privilege of meeting them, as they passed away before she and Jeff started dating, but over time, she understood how special those two were to Jeff’s family. Kristi was also very close to her grandparents, and Jeff knew that, when he proposed to her, she would want to tell her grandparents in St. Louis in person. When they were there last fall for Thanksgiving, that’s where he proposed! In St. Louis, on the roof of the City Museum, overlooking everything! Not only did Jeff propose on her grandparent’s 68th wedding anniversary, but one of the sweetest things about their story is that Jeff took a diamond from his great grandma’s ring and had it custom made for Kristi. They cherish their generations of family, and I love how they intertwined the memory and story of their grandparents into their own story.
Their engagement session was overcast, dreary, and rainy, but no bad weather could dampen their moods! Their beautiful smiles and Kristi’s laugh was all we needed to have fun! These two love each other a TON, and it shows!
With Jeff traveling for work A LOT, they usually love to have date nights at home together, instead of going out. Their favorite is pizza picnic in the living room and movies!
“What I love most about Kristi is the amount of love she gives towards her friends and family day in and day out, it really shows.”
“What I love most about Jeff is his consistency. That may seem like a weird thing to say about some one, definitely not the most romantic, but I can always count on Jeff to love me, support me, care for me, nurture me and understand me. I can be a lot to deal with at times, lol, and Jeff is consistently up to the challenge.”
One of their favorite things to do together is enjoy long motorcycle rides!
